Why are vaccinations important for my dog?

Vaccinations are crucial for your dog's health and safety. Bordetella protects against Kennel Cough, a highly contagious respiratory illness common in group settings. Distemper guards against a viral disease that affects the respiratory, gastrointestinal, and nervous systems. Rabies vaccination is essential as it prevents a fatal neurological disease that can be transmitted to other animals and humans. Keeping these vaccinations up-to-date ensures your dog's well-being and the safety of all our guests.Any reservation that does not have a vaccination record upload on the day of arrival will not be admitted into the Tails On Trails Pet Resort. You may bring the vaccination record with you to be reviewed by staff if you are unable to upload. If you do not provide it in person or online by the time of your arrival, you will be charged your day of boarding or daycare rate. Terms | Cancellation Policies

We require a 50% deposit for all boarding reservations, which will be applied to your dog's stay. The remaining 50% needs to be paid at check in for every reservation. We require daycare reservations to be paid in full prior to your booking being accepted. Tails On Trails Pet Resort Boarding & Cancellation PolicyWe are thrilled to host your dog! Because our suites are in high demand and we staff our team based on the exact number of dogs in our care, we require reservations and deposits to secure your spot. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation with our booking policies so we can accommodate as many furry friends as possible.Securing Your Stay A 50% deposit is required to confirm all boarding reservations. Your reservation is officially on our calendar once this deposit is received.Daycare Reservations Must be paid in full at time of reservations. Your reservation is officially on our calendar once this deposit is received.Standard Cancellations We understand that plans change! If you need to cancel or adjust your dates, please let us know at least 72 hours prior to your scheduled check-in. Cancellations made within this window will have their deposit fully credited to your Tails On Trails account for future boarding or daycare services.Peak Season & Holiday Cancellations During our busiest times (Holidays, Spring Break, Winter Break and Seasonal Peak Seasons), our suites are heavily waitlisted. For reservations during these periods, we require a 14-day notice for cancellations or date changes.Late Cancellations & Early Departures Cancellations made outside of our requested notice periods impact our ability to offer that suite to another family. Therefore, late cancellations will result in the deposit being applied to the balance of the empty suite. If you return early and pick up your dog ahead of schedule, you will still be responsible for the full original booking footprint, as we reserved that space exclusively for your dog.

Intact Dog Boarding PolicyIntact (non-neutered) male dogs are welcome at Tails On Trails Pet Resort; however, an additional daily Intact Dog Care Fee applies. This fee is non-negotiable for all boarding reservations.For the safety and well-being of all dogs in our care, intact male dogs cannot participate in group daycare or off-leash play sessions with other dogs. Instead, they receive personalized one-on-one care, including individual potty breaks, enrichment activities, exercise, and dedicated staff interaction throughout the day.At Tails On Trails, we believe every dog deserves physical activity, mental stimulation, and human interaction while boarding. We do not believe in leaving dogs confined to their kennel for extended periods, as this does not align with our standards of care or our business philosophy.Because intact dogs require individualized handling, separate exercise schedules, and additional staff time, the daily Intact Dog Care Fee of $15.00 per day, helps cover the increased level of supervision and personalized attention they receive.This policy is in place to help maintain a safe, low-stress environment for our guests, our team members, and your dog throughout their stay.
